It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we share the untimely passing of Tyler Davis Solomon, who died suddenly on April 22, 2025, at the age of 23.
Tyler’s life was one marked by passion, commitment, and an unwavering dedication to making a positive impact in his community. He leaves behind a legacy of selflessness, service, and leadership that will not be forgotten by those who knew him.
Tyler was deeply involved with the National Love Team, a grassroots organization founded by Michael “OG Law” Ta’bon, a man who had become a father figure and mentor to Tyler.
The National Love Team, which stands for Life Over Violence Everywhere, Together Everyone Accomplishes More, is dedicated to making the world a better place by using ideas to foster change.
The organization focuses on using music, art, drama, and athletics to help young people stay out of prison and avoid early graves, teaching them about the power of love, resilience, and community.
Tyler’s involvement with the National Love Team began in an unexpected way. One day, while visiting Belmont Plateau, one of his favorite spots, he came across a small truck that caught his curiosity.
This truck, equipped with a 110-inch movie screen, music recording equipment, security cameras, and even basketball hoops, served as the mobile community center for the National Love Team. It was here that Tyler first met OG Law, and the two quickly formed a strong bond that would last for years.
Tyler embraced his role within the organization wholeheartedly, spending many days working with young people in the community. Whether it was cleaning parks, setting up events, or simply being there to listen and offer guidance, Tyler led by example.
He showed those around him what it meant to give back and make a difference, not just with words, but with actions. Tyler’s passion for helping others was recently recognized when he was honored by the National Love Team for his dedication to its mission.
His commitment to the cause and the impact he made in the lives of those around him was evident in every event he helped organize, every child he mentored, and every moment he spent sharing his time and energy with others.
While Tyler’s life was cut tragically short, his impact on the community and the people he touched will live on. His friendship with OG Law and the work they did together to serve others is a testament to his character and the love he had for those around him.
Tyler was not just a member of the National Love Team; he was a driving force behind its success and a shining example of the positive change that can be made when people come together to help one another.
Tyler’s family, friends, and the countless individuals whose lives he touched are mourning his loss, but they are also celebrating the life he lived—a life filled with purpose, kindness, and love for others.
Tyler’s spirit will continue to inspire those who were lucky enough to know him, and his work with the National Love Team will remain a vital part of his legacy. As we remember Tyler, we are reminded of the importance of community, the power of giving, and the profound impact that one individual can have on the world.
His memory will live on in the work he did, the lessons he taught, and the love he shared. Our thoughts are with his family and friends during this incredibly difficult time, and we extend our deepest condolences. May his memory be a blessing, and may his legacy continue to inspire change in the world around us.
Funeral services and memorial events to honor Tyler’s life are being planned, and those who knew him are encouraged to come together to celebrate the life of this remarkable young man.
